So I sat down in the garden in the sunshine and wrote out lots of content about what we have been doing recently, 2 things consistently popped up, I mean, like several times a week so far these holidays. One was the glorious British BBQ, and the second was camping, both of these are wonderful examples of the Al fresco lifestyle.
Now, we don’t camp, our kids set up tents with cousins in the garden or on scouts away weekends, but it’s not something we do as a family holiday, however we have lots of friends that do, and they are always down in Cornwall so we usually meet up and have meals together Al fresco:
Now, our friends have some serious camping and BBQ set ups, we’ve even had a BBQ paella this summer, and far be it from me to take over, so we do our bit by bringing the extras.
Socialising with friends often runs into hours, what starts as an evening meal can easily turn into twilight drinks. So here at Home and Bay we have created an evening BBQ checklist for all those late BBQ essentials, especially helpful now the weather is turning Autumnal.
- Mosquitoes are the bane of all outdoor events. Banish them and make the place look all twinkly and lush with these citronella candles
- Stay cosy when the temperature drops with this coastal blanket
- Don’t forget the little ones with this gorgeous bamboo cutlery
- This bottle opener is a must!
- If you must have straws for that perfect cocktail, use these eco friendly ones and couple up with these eco tumblers for super chic beach vibes
- Kids lunch boxes make perfect left over containers…although if you’re like us there isn't much!
- Clean up you mess and be safe! Follow this advice from the Polzeath Together team: Home | Polzeath Together (pztogether.co.uk)
